In 2009, Hermosa Beach experienced a 24% decline in average sales price; the first decline city wide in several years. However, the market was active, with an increase in number of properties selling in every section of the city. In most sections of the city, the number of days on market continued to increase accept for East Hermosa Beach, where it took 15 fewer days on average for a property to sell over the previous year.
